Remembering the struggle's martyrs in West Bank demonstrations

Two of this week's demonstrations commemorated those killed by the Israeli Army in the course of the popular struggle. On Sunday - nine Israeli activists were arrested while stopping construction work of the wall in Walaje.

In Bil'in protestors marked the first anniversary to the killing of Jawaher Abu Rahme . Abu-Rahme collapsed in a demonstration last year from excessive exposure to tear gas, and died shortly after. Once again, in this Friday's demonstration, Israeli forces shot tens of tear gas grenades into the crowd, and eventually crossed the wall and chased demonstrators back towards the village. Several activists were injured during the attack.

Meanwhile in Nabi Saleh villagers and supporters commemorated one month to the killing of Mustafa Tamimi.
Here too the procession towards the lands stolen by settlers was attacked by military forces.
